Chanel Le Vernis Chataigne 669 Limited Edition. New in box
Chataigne is from Chanel’s Fall 2015 Les Automnales Collection, a limited edition colour. A second coat gives opaque coverage and it has been described as “dark chocolate” on the nails. Ecorce Sanguine 671 and Vert Obscur 679 from this collection are also in my listings.
With one coat it almost pulls cool-toned with some slate-grey influence in it. With 2 coats the red became more apparent in Chataigne. It does not pull too brown nor too red. It is rather dark, so much that I think a 3rd coat it would turn black. There is also the signature Chanel hidden micro-shimmers that is impossible to photograph but makes the difference.
