Description
This item is a drop in replacement mod for the back panel on your Sony PlayStation 2 fat / phat 30000 and 50000 (see compatibility section below) series gaming console. It replaces the noisy original equipment fan with an extremely quiet Noctua brand fan. After installing, you will notice a drastic decrease in fan noise from the console.
Installation is relatively easy and can be done with just a phillips screwdriver and about 20 minutes of time. There is no cutting or soldering involved. Everything plugs right into place as the original pieces do. An installation manual is available.
NOTE:
The 'all other ps2 fat models' version ships with a beige fan. The 'SCPH-5000X without network adapter' version ships with a beige fan.

Compatibility:
If you're using a SCPH-5000X WITHOUT A NETWORK ADAPTER, please select the appropriate version at the top of the listing.
If you are using the 'All other PS2 fat models' on a SCPH-5000X and you do not plug in the network adapter THE FAN WILL NOT TURN ON.
For everything else please select all other PS2 fat models.

Does fit when installed in combination with the network / hard drive adapter.
Does not fit some very early versions of the SCPH-30001 (10 screws on the bottom) because the bottom housing is a single piece. Please make sure that the rear fan panel is removable and not a single bottom housing piece.
Does not fit SCPH-70000 and SCPH-90000 PS2 slim series.
