This is brand new and has never been worn. It is in the original packaging - necklace was taken out for photos only. Jackie's favorite jewelry designer was Coco Chanel and had been since her days studying in Paris. Coco only worked in fashion jewelry, never in fine metals. In this photo, you can see Jackie in a Chanel suit with a Chanel handbag and, of course, Chanel jewelry. The necklace is a very famous necklace, known as Coco's paperclip necklace. Jackie enjoyed wearing long chains starting in the late 1970s.
